Technical Administrator – Asset Values

As part of the Energy Assets Group, Dragon IS design and construct gas and electricity networks.  For every property connection, an Asset Value can be claimed from the Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) or Independent Gas Transporter (IGT) that adopts the network.  Asset Values (AVs) are a key source of revenue for the Company and there is an intricate process that must be followed to secure the payment for each unit.  This role requires a methodical approach and the candidate should have an analytical ability with a steadfast attitude and tenacious skills to succeed. The ability to take ownership of the role and to keep track of how each claim is progressing is key.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Submit AV claims in a timely manner with all required documentation
  • Update and maintain various databases daily    
  • Process completed service and meter cards
  • Ensure that all stakeholders submit the required documentation in a timely manner
  • Ensure AV claims are agreed by the IDNO/IGT prior to the Finance Department generating an invoice 
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all IDNOs and IGTs and their requirements relating to AVs
  • Remain aware of all AV amendments due to changes on sites
  • Liaise daily with the Operational teams - both technical support and site staff, Project Managers, Developers, IDNOs and IGTs
  • Utilise information included in monthly IDNO and IGT reports to reconcile evidence
  • Attend weekly, planning meetings to gain intelligence information and address any outstanding issues face-to-face with Project Managers and Supervisors

Experience Criteria:

  • Analytical with a strong systematic approach
  • Tenacity with the ability to pick up on what is required and working to achieve the required outcome
  • Minimum GCSE Maths and English A-C or equivalent
  • Proficient in IT literacy, including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge of the utility infrastructure industry
  • Ability to read network drawings
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial developers
  • Health & Safety awareness
Hours of Work:
40 hours per week, although you may be required to work any necessary additional hours for the proper performance of your duties and in accordance with the needs of the business
